The type of severe headache that can have a major impact on quality of life is called Migraine. It is often go by feeling sick, vomiting or increased sensitivity to light. Migraine is one of the most common types of headache in adults and is about twice as common in women than in men.

Most common types in migraine are migraine with aura (classic migraine) and migraine without aura (common migraine). Other types of migraine are aura without headache and abdominal migraine.
Causes of migraine
The accurate cause of migraine headaches is not clearly figure out, although specialists believe that it is caused by a combination of the expansion of blood vessels and the release of certain chemicals, which causes inflammation and pain in the brain.
Migraine caused due to these chemicals dopamine and serotonin. These chemicals are found normally in the brain and if these chemicals are present in unusual amounts, blood vessels to perform irregularly and cause Migraine

Migraines may cause by specific foods or drinks, due to contact to particular noises, smells or lights, or by other particular triggers. Avoid of these triggers can help to prevent migraines from happening.
Migraines are more common in people with depression, and depression is more common in people who have migraines so Researchers are also investigating whether treating depression can help relieve migraines and vice versa.
Migraine diagnosis:
1. Simple non-drug treatment that should be tried first
2. Be stay away from trigger factors:
- Reduction of stress
- Avoid certain foods
- Regularize sleeping.
- Avoid flying and high altitudes
- Avoid overheating
- Avoid strong smells, such as perfumes
3. Most migraine patients may manage the attacks at home with the following strategies:
- Using a cold compress to the area of pain
- Resting with pillows comfortably supporting the head or neck
- Resting in a room with little or no sensory stimulation (light, sound, odors)
- Withdrawing from stressful surroundings
- Sleeping
- Drinking a moderate amount of caffeine
- Using medications advice by Doctors.
